Alton Lee, 71, Max, formerly of Benedict, died on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at a Minot nursing home. Memorial services will be held on Monday, March 24th, 2014 at 11:00 am at Concordia Lutheran Church in Benedict.

Alton was born November 15, 1942 to Martin and Helen (Kittleson) Lee in Benedict, ND where he was raised and educated. Alton served in the US Air Force and was honorably discharged. Following his service in the Air Force, Alton worked as a machinist, mostly for aircraft companies in California and Washington.   He was married to Betty Basham and had 5 step children. He later married Hope Weussler. Hope died in 2010, and Alton moved back to Max to be closer to family.

Alton had a fascination with Aviation, which fueled his love for his work as a machinist. He also enjoyed visiting with people and arguing about politics.

Alton is survived by numerous family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
