Obituary

Alvina Krebsbach, 99, Garrison, died on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at the Garrison Hospital.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 10:30 am at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Garrison.  Visitation will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 am at Thompson Funeral Home in Garrison.  Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Alvina was born August 5, 1921 in Leader, Saskatchawan, Canada to Charles and Anna (Stene) Elser.  She was raised and educated in Garrison.  She was united in marriage to Nicholas Krebsbach on November 6, 1942 at Endres Catholic Church in rural Max.  They made their home in Garrison.  Nicholas died on October 12, 1959.  Alvina worked at the Robinson Drug Store for 14 years before she and her sister, Adelia, started cleaning houses, which she did until the time of her retirement.  She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and St. Ann's Altar Society in Garrison.

Alvina loved to visit and had a terrific sense of humor.  She was very close with her siblings, especially her sisters.  Many years ago she was voted "The Queen" by the patrons of Garrison which only confirmed her wonderful personality  and work ethic.

Alvina is survived by her only son, Douglas Krebsbach, Bismarck; former daughter-in-law, Nancy Krebsbach, Bismarck; step-grandchildren, Scott (Amanda Fry) Eckert, Fargo, Beth (Ryan) Mertz, Jaimme (Samantha) Frigstad, all of Bismarck; 6 step-greatgrandchildren; 2 step-great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Charles Elser Jr, and 3 sisters, Adelia Vetter, Mildred Thompson, and Joyce Grey.
