IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Angeline "Angie"
Christopherson
August 7, 1926 – August 12, 2019
Angeline "Angie" Christopherson, 93, Minot, formerly of Emmet and Garrison, died on Monday, August 12, 2019 at a Minot nursing facility. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:30 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garrison. Burial will be at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Emmet.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 at Thompson Funeral Home in Garrison.
Angie was born August 7, 1926 in Blackwater Township to Vincent and Mary (Spindler) Kubicek. She attended a rural one-room country school in the area until she completed the 8th grade. She met Harold Christopherson one evening in front of the Kota Theatre in Garrison after she deliberately stepped on his toes. They were united in marriage on December 6, 1944. Harold and Angie farmed and raised their family on their farm west of Garrison until they retired and moved into Garrison in 1996. They were married 57 years. They were members of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Emmet, and later transferred their membership to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garrison.
Angie loved to dance and danced the old-time waltz as recently as 4 months ago at the Elmcroft Assisted Living in Minot. She learned to play a mean whist game from her father, Vincent, and enjoyed setting her fellow card players at the Elmcroft evening card games. Mom will always be remembered for her faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and her confidence in the power of prayer. She was a wonderful cook and made apple pies and homemade bread beyond compare.
Angie was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Mary Kubicek; her husband, Harold; son Paul; 5 sisters, Dorothy, Frances, Elbie, Helen, and Rosie; and son-in-law, Douglas MacGillivray.
She is survived by her daughters, Gloria MacGillivray, Elaine (Richard) Foss, Gail (Jeff) Yost, and Colleen Whaley; grandchildren; Erik Foss, Jodi Robertson, Amanda (George) Koutsourais, Kipton (Amy) Yost, Regina Whaley, Megan (Andy Gauthier) Whaley, Dillon (Cami) Whaley; great grandchildren, Nicolas, Angelique, and Theo Koutsourais, Annabelle and Charles Yost, Alexia and Elivia Gauthier, Kimber and Kylie Foss, Colin, Emma, Katy, Colton, and Sadie Mae Robertson.
