Anna Delores Everson, 80, of Bowdon, ND, died April 24, 2014 at a Bismarck hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at Concordia Lutheran Church in Benedict, ND. Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in rural Max.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from Noon to 8 at Thompson Funeral Home in Garrison.

Anna was born December 19, 1933 to Henry and Dena (Kinn) Kittleson in Benedict, ND. She was the youngest of 8 children. She was raised in Benedict where her father owned the grocery store, gas station/restaurant.

She married Donald Olson of Max, ND. They lived on the farm southwest of Benedict and had 3 children. Donald died in 1958 during the polio outbreak in ND. Anna later moved with her children to Whittie, California where her brother and sister lived.

She later married Larry Everson and they lived in California until they retired and moved to Bowdon, ND where she lived until her death.

Anna loved to garden and enjoyed canning the produce that they grew in their large garden. She spent many hours embroidering dish towels for her children and grandchildren. She loved to watch the birds and wildlife that ventured onto their farmstead. Anna was known for making the best lefse. The local church would place orders for it and she and Larry would work together peeling and baking. She also enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles and reading.

Anna is survived by her husband Larry, brother, Elmo Kittleson ,of Benedict; sons, Art (Sharon) Olson of Max, ND, Don Olson of Lincoln, ND; daughter, Delores (James) Collins of Highland, CA. Grand children Dena (David) Gillis of Papillion, NE, Mark (Julie) Collins of Redlands, CA, Wendy (Josh) Collins of Highland, CA, Michael (Natalie) Olson of San Antonio, TX and Hanna Olson of Bismarck, ND. Great-grandchildren Katy Gillis and Cambria Rodriquez.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Art and Ole Kittleson, sisters, Evelyn Erickson, Gladys Krebsbach, Helen Boedicker and Tilda Pederson. Granddaughter, Jennifer Olson, grandson, Matthew Olson and daughter-in-law, Carol Olson.
