Obituary

Anthony Colin Fox, 52, White Shield, died on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at the Ralph Wells Jr. Memorial Complex in White Shield. Wake services will be held on Monday at 5:00 pm at the complex. Burial will be at the Congregational Cemetery in White Shield.
Tony was born January 23, 1967 in Garrison, ND to Colin Fox and Margie Tinsley (Maldonado). He lived in Southern California with his mother, Margie mostly in his childhood years. He would move back and forth from California to North Dakota to be with his dad and grandparents. He finally decided to make White Shield his home. Tony loved living in White Shield. He lived with his grandparents, John and Agnes and sometimes with his Uncle John and Auntie Nancy. Tony graduated from White Shield High School in 1988. He grew up and decided to make a home for himself, take care and be on his own.
Tony was very talented and creative. H made dream catchers, did beadwork, and he loved to draw. He also was a very awesome cook, especially his Mexican food. He cooked other dishes as well. He had dreams that he was not able to accomplish. He wanted to start a landscape business but due to his failing health he was not able to do so. Tony loved doing things for everyone when he could. He would always make sure the Arikara Congregational Church Cemetery was mowed and beautiful. He would especially make sure his dad, grandparents, uncles, and Goose's graves were well kept. Tony loved them so much. (He is with them now trying to groom the.) He was all set to start taking welding classes with Dan at Wilkinson's Welding with instructor, Cedric Wilkinson the day the Lord called him home.
Tony had a big heart. There were times when he showed his negative side but we all knew to just give him time and his heart would open up again. It was a process with him. His family knew just how he was, that was "OUR TONY"! We all love him so much and he knew it. He will be missed by his parents, sisters, family, relatives and friends.
Tony did not have children of his own but he was a wonderful father to Megan and Delmar White Bear. They were his children plus all his nieces and nephews. He also helped raise his nieces, Casandra, and Cheyenne and nephew, Tommy Bonilla when he lived in Oregon for a few years. He will be greatly missed by his stepchildren and nieces and nephews and there is quiet a few.
Tony is survived by his parents, Margie and Fred (step-father) Tinsley, Grants Pass, OR; sisters: Patsy Gomez (Anthony Sr.), Medford, OR, Annette Fox (Junior Candelaria) Sacramento, CA, Kim Liebert (Eric) Albuqquerque, NM, and Rochelle Fox, Ethete, WY; step-children: Megan and Delmar White Bear, White Shield; Godchild, Francisco Cisneros, White Shield; Auntie/Mom's: Gloria Brennan, Parshall, Ardith Elsquibel, White Shield; special cousins, Daniel Esquibel and Natalie Minafore, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, nephews and nieces in North Dakota, California, and Oregon.
