Barbara Geyer Keller, 90, Garrison, formerly of Minot, died on Friday, Oct. 21, at the Garrison Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 am at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Garrison. A rosary will be said on Thursday at 7:00 pm at the church. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery in Minot at 3:00 pm.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 1 to 3 at Thompson Funeral Home in Garrison.

Barbara was born February 7, 1926 to Jerome and Esther (Mahoney) Horning in Ryder, ND where she was raised and educated, graduating from Ryder High School in 1944. She continued her education at St. Joseph's School of Nursing and graduated as a registered nurse in 1947. She was a supremely dedicated nurse for over 30 years at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Barbara married Kenneth Geyer on October, 8, 1947. From their union came three children, Terrance, Pamela, and Timothy. Kenneth died in January of 1981. In May of 1983, Barbara married Russell Keller. Russell died in December of 1983.

Barbara had great strength that came from her devout catholic faith. This great faith allowed her to provide her children and grandchildren endless love. Her family will miss her but they know that she is with the Lord, which is a great comfort to them. Though family was her greatest joy, Barbara also loved nature. She enjoyed spending time in the country and seeing all the beauty the earth gives us. She liked to garden and also do puzzles and play cards, especially "king's in the corner"!

Barbara is survived by her children, Terrance (Jerelyn) Geyer, Garrison, ND, Pamela (Thomas) Gehl, North Liberty, IA, and Timothy (Jane) Geyer, Lake Stevens, WA; grandchildren, Stacy Geyer, Stephanie Anthony, John Geyer, Deborah Trout, Brian Gehl, Michelle Gehl, Kayla Deitz, and Diana Geyer; 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, one sister, C. Ramona Ackerman; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth Geyer, husband Russell Keller, and two brothers, Steve and Pat Horning.
