Obituary
Beth Sorensen, 81, Garrison, died on Wednesday, January 2, at her home. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at the First Congregational Church in Garrison. Burial will be at the Garrison City Cemetery.
Beth Eva Sorensen was born September 3, 1931 in Wilcox, Saskatchewan, Canada to Bruce and Ruby (Johnston) Sparling. She was raised and educated in Wilcox and the attended and graduated from the University of Manitoba with a teaching degree. She taught school in Powell River, British Columbia and later in Kulm, ND. Beth married H. W. (Wayne) Sorensen on March 14, 1959 in Breckenridge, MN. They made their home in Garrison, where they raised their three boys.
Beth had many hobbies, but mostly enjoyed reading, knitting, and crossword puzzles.
Beth is survived by her husband, Wayne, Garrison; sons, Chris (Donna), Hazen, Scot (Robyn) Bismarck, and Doyle, Bemidji, MN; and grandchildren, Erika, Brian, Brent, and Paul Sorensen.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
