Obituary

Betty Schreiner, 66, Coleharbor ND, died Sunday, December 13, 2015 at home surrounded with family. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 10:30 am at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Garrison. Burial will be at the ND Veterans Cemetery in rural Mandan.

Betty was born February 3, 1949 at Trinity Hospital in Minot, ND to Fred and Freda Aldinger. She was raised and educated in Underwood, ND. She then attended Jack's Hair Stylist Beauty College in Bismarck, ND.

On January 9th, 1971 she married Arthur Schreiner at the Church of St. Bonaventure in Underwood. They made their home in Coleharbor. Betty worked as a stylist in Bismarck and then started her own salon, "Betty's Beauty Shop" in Riverdale. She later moved her beauty shop to her home in Coleharbor so she could raise her children, while working full time. Once her children were a little older she moved Betty's Beauty Shop to Garrison.

Betty and Art adopted their son, Kelly, from Bogota, Colombia in 1975 and then welcomed their daughter, Kimberly, in 1977. Betty was a loving mother who was instrumental in raising her children while Arthur was often away from home providing for his family. Betty also has three little joys in her life. For the last 10 years, Alexis, Adisyn and Ava Leach have spent time baking, playing and enjoying time together as if they were her own grandchildren. Betty enjoyed spending time with family and friends, shopping, dancing, fishing, bowling, playing cards and having coffee with good friends. Betty was a member of St. Ann's altar society and the Ladies Auxiliary.

Betty is survived by husband, Arthur, of 44 years. Son Kelly and his wife Natalie of Dublin, OH and his son Joseph. Daughter Kimberly and her wife Shannon of Phoenix, AZ. Brothers Harold (Darlene) Aldinger of Apache Junction, AZ and Wes (Jill) Aldinger of Danville, VA.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Freda Aldinger; her stepfather Harley Hoppe; and her nephew, Wayne Aldinger.
