Obituary

Beverly Jean Wilkinson, 70, White Shield, died October 21st, 2013 in Nevada. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ralph Wells Jr. Memorial Complex in White Shield. Wake services will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2013 beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the complex.

Beverly Jean Wilkinson-Ebarb was born, in Elbowoods, North Dakota, to Helen (Wolf) Wilkinson and John Wilkinson Sr. on January 14th, 1943. Her Hidatsa name was (all red) on her dad's side she is a decendent of Custers Scout Bloody Knife. Beverly was very Fluent in Hidatsa. She had many siblings, John Wilkinson Jr., Richard Wilkinson, Gerald White Sr., Howard Wilkinson Sr., Arnold Wilkinson, Tilmer Wilkinson, Teresa Price, and Gloria Wilkinson, Bernice Morning Star, and Barbra Price, Mona Bear. She was also a member of the Waterbuster Clan.

Beverly attended Elementary school at Elbowoods and later attended Stephan Indian School in SD. After graduating, she went home to help with her family's ranch. She moved to Ft. Worth, Texas she married Texas Ranger, Kelly Adams Jr. They had a son named Kelly Adams III. She then moved to California on the Indian relocation program. There she attended Pasadena City College and studied in art and philosophy and was a Nurses Aid. While living there Monte Bello and Bel Air she was Elvis Presley's neighbor. She acquired his lemon chicken recipe. During this time she was a Go Go dancer at Hollywood a go go and Whiskey a go go the same venues her Son and Grandsons band AngelRoze frequently are asked to perform. She lived in Beverly Hills, Bel-air, Whittier and West Hollywood. She lived where ever she worked. She was commended on defending the troops, during Vietnam war, when no one else would in Los Angeles area, She worked as a cashier, cleaner and, She was always on the move. She never let grass grow under her feet. Beverly was one of the first female roughnecks working in the Oil Fields of NW North Dakota in the late 70s early 80s. Beverly also was a Heavy Equiptment Operator and truck driver that belonged to the Teamsters Union. Beverly was also a Welder and was and was attending FBCC welding program when she fell ill to cancer. Beverly in her later years traveled and work with her childern as far as New York to build Ethonal Plants..there she was a firewatch, holewatch, and Pipefitter helper in the 90s Beverly worked Northern Improvement she helped build the Interstate from Mandan to Bismarck ND. she braved the heat throughout the summer as young men were dropping like flys from the heat and walking off the job and bought herself a new truck. Beverly showed her son's and daughters with hardwork and determination you can drive anything you want.
Beverly has a large family: Douglas Wilkinson, Cedrick Wilkinson Sr., Della Wilkinson, Manford Ebarb Sr., William Shang Ebarb, Louie Wilkinson, Malone Wilkinson, Delancy Wilkinson also adopted Children Lorenzo Many Ribs, Karen Many Ribs and Daniel Gozales Torres of Cuba.

She was constantly doing something and always going somewhere. One day she could be at bingo in Minot and the next day in New Orleans, at Mardi Gras. She had the loudest voice. She would yell bingo so loud it would make the floor walkers jump. She was one of White Shields loudest fan. She could tell a good story, she was very strong, and very outspoken. She was North Dakota's first female roughneck,and nationwide, one winter she worked the intire job without anyone knowing she as a female once they found out she was fired she, went by her middle name Jean. during the seventies oil boom. She was a heavy equipment operator, and worked on many road constructions, throughout North Dakota. She even washed dishes on a riverboat to Jamaica.

Her greatest accomplishment was raising her children to prosperous people. She had five marines and also two army military members. Many have attained professions in law enforcement. And many had also pursued careers in the construction industry. They were mostly welders and pipefitters. Many graduated with degrees in culinary arts, business management, and currently a professor at FBCC.

She has many grandchildren: Dustin Wilkinson, Jody Wilkinson, Helen Wilkinson, Ella Wilkinson, Sheldon McHugh, Derick Wilkinson, Chelsea Wilkinson Cedrick Wilkinson Jr., Frankie Wilkinson, Jolie Wilkinson, Selena Wilkinson, Mia Wilkinson, Noah Wilkinson, Serene Wilkinson, Andrea Wilkinson, William Shang Wilkinson, Presley Wilkinson, Manford Ebarb Jr., Randy Ebarb, William Ebarb, Robert Wilkinson, Jasmine Ebarb, Justice Ebarb, Destiny Ebarb, Taylor Wilkinson, Hunter Wilkinson, Maxine Wilkinson, Alexis Wilkinson, Olivia Wilkinson, Amelia Wilkinson and Delancy Wilkinson Jr. Great- grandchildren: Oliver Wilkinson, Halen Wilkinson, Nevaeh Wilkinson, and Shaddix Wilkinson, Ava Grey Water and Liam Wilkinson.

Her greatest enjoyment was horse-riding, dancing, and building stuff and tearing it down antique collecting. She was quite artistic. She could paint, bead, quilt and most of all, she could make moccasins. She was greatly involved in White Shield Spirit Riders, White Shield Seniors activies and fundraising.

Beverly was proceeded in death by mother Helen Wilkinson Father John Wilkinson , brothers John Wilkinson JR, Richard Wilkinson and Tilmer Wilkinson, son William Shang Ebarb Jr and grandson Dustin Wilkinson.
