Brenda Staehr, 60, of Garrison, passed away on May 17, 2024.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 24, 2024, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Garrison, ND. Inurnment to follow at Garrison Cemetery.

Brenda was born on December 31, 1963, to Edward and Lois Volk. She attended school in Minot, ND, graduating from Minot Ryan in 1983. Brenda attended Joseph School of Hair Design. She worked in Williston, ND and Minot, ND as a hairdresser. Brenda met Shannon Staehr in 1997, which led to her change in occupation to a full-time grocery store employee and a part-time hairdresser. Brenda and Shannon were married on September 7, 2002. In the summer of 2007, they moved to Garrison where Shannon began managing Krause Market in Garrison. On November 6, 2006, Kedra was born to Brenda and Shannon, giving Brenda the opportunity to change careers to a full-time daycare provider for the last 17 years. She became ill on March 1, 2024, and left her loving family on May 17, 2024.

Brenda enjoyed crafts, yardwork, traveling, planning holidays, family gatherings, and trips to a T.

Brenda will be deeply missed by her husband, Shannon Staehr; daughter, Kedra Staehr; cousins, Cheryl and Gary; sister-in-law, Margie; godson, Luke; and numerous family members.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Lois Volk; brother, James Volk; and her grandparents.
