Obituary

Carol Olson, 52, Lincoln, formerly of Max, died July 1st, 2012 in a Bismarck hospital. Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 6th, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Max. Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in rural Max.

Carol was born in West Covina, California on May 5, 1960 to Eugene (Buck) and Virginia Lemond. She was raised in Norwalk and Whittier, California and graduated from Sierra High School in Whittier in 1978. She attended Mount San Jacinto College, Mount San Jacinto, California.

On August 21, 1982 Carol married Donald Olson. Their son, Michael, was born in Whittier, California. The family moved from California to Max, North Dakota in 1989. Their daughter, Hanna, joined the family born in Minot, North Dakota.

Carol worked at Starion Financial at the time of her illness. Previously, she owned and operated the Centennial Café in Max for 10 years with her husband, Donald.

Carol is remembered as a loving mom and wife. She was always interested in decorating, crafts, and a good garage sale. She loved spending time with family and friends. Her sense of humor was infectious and she was always the life of any get together. She will be missed by family and friends alike.

In June, she was able to attend her son Michael's wedding in Minneapolis which was a major goal for her.

Carol was preceded in death by: Parents Eugene and Virginia; and nephew Matthew Olson.
She is survived by: Husband Donald, children Michael (Natalie) and Hanna, brothers Dale and Everette, sisters Stella Cox and Wanda Marlin.
