Carol J. Stelts, 72, of Garrison, ND died March 25, 2016 in a Minot, ND hospital. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday March 29, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Garrison. Officiating will be Pastor Janis Sloka. Interment will be held in the Garrison Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday at Thompson Funeral Home, Garrison. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, one hour prior to the service at the church.

Carol, was born March 4, 1944 in Garrison, ND the daughter of John and Martha (Herrmann) Jungling. She was raised and educated in Garrison. She married Raymond Stelts in 1984 in Valley City, ND. While living in Valley City, Carol worked for the Barnes County Sheriff's Department, and was a maid at the Wagon Wheel Inn. She also had a day care in her home. Carol moved back to Garrison in 1999. While living in Garrison she volunteered at the Benedictine living Center.

She enjoyed her adult coloring books, crocheting, and other arts and crafts. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Carol is survived by her son, Mike (Chanda) Stelts of Garrison; her grandchildren, Caleb, Jamian, and Conrad Stelts all of Garrison; her sisters, Ramona Mautz and Delores Luedke of Garrison and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers-in-law, Gene Luedke, Curtis Metz and Herbert Mautz.
