Carol Wyne, 77, Garrison, triumphantly entered the gates of heaven on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Trinity Hospital in Minot, ND. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Carol Wyne (Korstad) was born July 7, 1943 to Gerhard and Alma Walker (Korstad/Delzer) at the Garrison Hospital in Garrison, ND. Carol was raised and educated in country schools near Emmet and assisted in the family store. After she finished school she moved to California and lived with her Aunt Evelyn Korstad and cousins working and helping on the orchard farm.

On June 11, 1966, she married James Wyne in California. From 1966 – 1983, they lived in several different states while James was in the Air Force. In 1983, James retired from the military and they settled in Garrison, ND with their children to be close to Carol's family. During this time, she taught Sunday school at Garrison United Church of Christ and had a home daycare. She retired from home daycare just a couple of years ago. She loved all the children she ever took care of as her own and continued to keep in contact with them all.

Carol enjoyed talking, spending time with her children and granddaughters, attending Fargo Force hockey games and cheering for her honorary grandsons, attending events for her granddaughters, baking (especially apple cake for her daughter and snickerdoodles for her son), cooking, shopping, making and decorating cakes, and spending time with family and friends.

Carol is survived by her husband, James Wyne, Garrison ND; daughter, Dawn (Darius) Endres, Fargo ND; son, Andrew Wyne, Fargo, ND; brothers, Gene (Barb) Korstad, Casselton, ND; Jerry (Ann) Walker, Colorado Springs, CO; Steve (Cindy) Walker, Tampa, FL; sisters, Susan (Jim) Struckness, Hanover, MN; Sandy (Dave) Kenyon, Colorado Springs, CO; 2 granddaughters; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Gary Korstad & James Walker; and daughter Theresa Wyne and son.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials.
