Charles "Chaz" Dobbins was born at Pine Ridge, SD to Mary Jane Fastwolf and Arnold Dobbins. Chaz grew up on a farm in Nebraska, living the farm boy life. Farm life suited Chaz very well, and from tinkering around on old cars and farm equipment he became very good at it, which carried on to his education.
Chaz graduated in May 1981 and then went onto Wyoming Technical College and to a trade in mechanics. Chaz worked at various jobs and was a great hand in the blue-collar field.
Chaz met the love of his life Sherry Blacksmith in Broken Bow, NE and have 2 sons, Charles "Chucky", and Terry Alan. He also has a son, Brian Dobbins from a previous marriage. The family lived all over in North Dakota and eventually settle in White Shield, ND. He worked for Howard Wilkinson during the summers when he was home.
Chaz had a special niece whom he helped raise and loved like his own daughter, Kelly Jean.
Chaz was an honest, friendly person. He welcomed everyone and anyone into his home, his door was never locked. Almost every other day you would see Chaz making his daily walks to the store. He spent his last days hanging out with his boys, whom he loved to the moon and beyond…
Chaz leaves behind Brian (Addi), Chucky (Skyla), Terry, best friend, Sherry, grandchildren, Cashdyn, Kingdyn, and Xaidyn Dickens, Kerryck, Angelyn, Ariana, and Romeo Dobbins, sisters, Bonita Bear Eagle and brother, Dennis Dobbins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Arnold Dobbins, Bobby Joe Dobbins and Orville Running Shield.
