Chester "Ches" Bauer, 92, Garrison, died on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the Garrison Hospital. Chester's wishes were to be cremated and be buried at the Garrison City Cemetery. There will be no funeral services.
Ches was born November 16, 1925 at Portal, ND to Christ and Emma (Rubow) Bauer. He attended school in Portal before his family moved to Garrison in 1940 where he continued his education.
Ches married Alvina (Babe) Anderson on October 11, 1947. They made their home on a farm just south of Garrison where they farmed their entire life. Ches lived his life by his own motto, "You take care of your land, and your land will take care of you!"
Ches is survived by his wife, Babe, Garrison; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Alvin and Irvin Bauer, and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Fern (Roy) Bold, and Pearl (Frank) Schoonover.
