Colin Stubley, 72, Roseglen, died Monday, May 29, 2017 at the home of his dear friend, Bruce Hills. There will be a Celebration of Life held on Saturday August 12th at 2:00 pm on Colin's farm.
Colin was born November 4, 1944 in Hull, England to Oswald and Lillian (Hornsby) Stubley. Colin came to the US in August of 1965, during the time of the Wats Riots. In 1966 he enlisted in the US Air Force and served during the Vietnam War. He married Nancy (Green) in 1969 and they had one child, Leighann, born in 1970. After serving an overseas tour and living on multiple US bases, he was stationed at the Minot Air Force Base in 1979 where he retired in 1987. Shortly after his retirement, he moved to the "Old Grimes" place in Roseglen, ND.
Colin was an avid gardener, hunter and fisherman. He loved Lake Sakakawea and very much enjoyed studying the history of the lake and how it came to be. He also liked to visit and share stories with friends.
Colin was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Beryl Jillian (Stubley) Hawkins. He is survived by his daughter, Leighann (Stubley) Forbes, and two grandsons, Gabriel and Nathan Forbes, of Doylestown, PA. He is also survived by his numerous close friends in the Roseglen and Garrison areas. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
