Graveside services for Dennis Von Euw, 61, of Linton will be held at 11 a.m. on Fri., April 6, at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Cremation has taken place.
Thompson Funeral Home of Garrison is handling the arrangements.
Dennis died Sun., March 18, 2018, at a care center in Garrison after a battle with cancer. He was born June 8, 1956, in Oregon to Clem and Dixie (Rose) Von Euw.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from Aug. 26, 1974, through April 26, 1978, and reached the rank of sergeant. He was stationed at Marine Corps Base Campbell Pendleton, Oceanside, Calif., and at Marine Corps Air Station El Toro, Orange County, Calif. He was a teletype technician.
Dennis moved to Linton in July of 2009 where he purchased a home. His health began to fail soon after. He was a member of the Dan R. Richardson Post No. 54 of the American Legion, Linton, and served as Adjutant for two years. He was a popular Santa Claus for three years at the Legion's annual Santa Day and enjoyed talking with the children.
Dennis is survived by a sister and a brother.
