Donald Moore Jr., "kuuNUx xaawa'u", 20, White Shield, died on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident near White Shield. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at the Ralph Wells Jr. Memorial Complex in White Shield. Wake services will be held on Friday beginning at 5:00 pm at the complex. Burial will be at the Congregational Cemetery in White Shield.

Donald Leon Moore Jr. was born in Oklahoma City, OK to Donald Leon Sr. and Clarinda Ann Moore on February 6, 1996. Donald relocated to North Dakota with his parents in 1999. He attended "Little Warriors" Headstart that same year in White Shield. In 2001 he started school at Bob Callies Elementary in Garrison, where he attended until 2007. Also in 2007, after the passing of his "Pops", Donald Sr., he moved to White Shield with his mother, Rindy. He attended White Shield School in 2008 until the age of 17, then he moved back to Garrison, where he lived with his mom and grandma, Rose.

Donald worked on various jobs within the reservation. He was working for the Three Affiliated Tribes with Frosty Hosie at the time of his passing.

Donald Jr. was a very loving son, brother, grandson, and nephew. He had respect for his relatives. He always had hugs for his aunties and sisters, and handshakes for his uncles and brothers. Janice Kerzmann and Delilah Yellow Bird were two of his favorite teachers. He had a special place in his heart for them. They were very helpful to him throughout his school years in White Shield.

Donald loved basketball, but every time he went out to play with the team, he seemed to always get caught smoking cigarettes! He also enjoyed listening to his kind of music, playing video games, and chilling with his buddies. He also enjoyed his time spent training to box with his uncles, Fred Fox and Virgil Chase.

Donald is survived by his loving mother, Clarinda; brothers, David (Daria) Nolan, Robby Nolan; sisters, Angie Lopez, Ticia (Russ) Bonjiovanni; grandmother, Rose Ellen Drapeau; uncles, Robert (Lupe) Shepard; nephews, Jesse Nolan, Alex Sanchez, Isaac and Benjamin Lopez; nieces, Crissalda Nolan, Sarah and Megan Bonjiovanni; special cousins, Stephanie Shepard, Karla Ann Harrison; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
