Donald Linnertz, 74, Eden Prairie, MN, formerly of Ryder, died of natural causes at his home. A rosary will be said on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home in Garrison. Burial will be at St. Nicholas Catholic Cemetery in Garrison.
Donald John Linnertz was born November 12, 1943 to John and Ruby (Plaisance) Linnertz. He was raised on the family farm near Ryder, ND. He graduated from Garrison High School and enlisted in the US Navy serving our country from 1961 to 1965. Following his discharge from the Navy, he continued his education, graduating from UND in Grand Forks. He was employed by Control Data in Minnesota for many years.
Don is survived by his sisters, Mary Simmons, Garrison, Shirley Flory, Williston, brother, Dennis Linnertz, Ryder; nephews, John, Joe, Jerry and Jason Flory, and Justin and Travis Simmons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Allan Linnertz, brother-in-law, James A. Flory, and nephew, James S. Flory.
