Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at the Ralph Wells Jr. Memorial Complex in White Shield. Wake services will be held on Thursday at 5:00 pm at the complex. Burial will be at the Everett Family Cemetery.
Eric James Everett was born April 28, 1984 to Alice Everett and Theodore Everett JR (Lucky) in Stanley North Dakota.
He grew up in White Shield, attended White Shield School, and graduated in 2004. While growing up, he enjoyed playing basketball and had great skill in the game. More than that though, he loved boxing. He started at a young age and was very talented. He joined Parshall Boxing Club, coached by Bob Walsh and Gene Morsette and was mentored by his two oldest brothers, Gary and Joe. He loved the sport so much, as a little guy that his parents often had to put on the movie Rocky before he would go to bed. He could always be found training to the song Eye of the Tiger.
After Graduating High School, he attended Burdick Job Corp in Minot, taking an interest in Culinary Arts. He became a Mailroom Operator for Mandaree Enterprise Corporation for the duration of its HUD Contract. He then went to work in construction for PCI. He was currently employed in maintenance and construction at Ralph Wells Memorial Complex in White Shield.
Eric was an avid sports fan. Watching ESPN Sports Center was a favorite hobby of his. He could tell you everything about players and teams from college and professional basketball, football, boxing, and baseball. His favorite basketball team was Indiana Hoosiers. Like his big bro Gary, his favorite football team was Washington Redskins, but he could quickly become a Cowboys fan whenever big bro Joe was around.
Eric's greatest passion was his family. His mom and dad, brothers and sisters, nephews and nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins were his everything. He told his mom and dad he loved them every day before he walked out the door and shared that same sentiment whenever he was speaking to a family member in person or by phone. He highly respected Gary and Joe, was peas in a pod with brothers Triple, Isaiah, Derek, Brandon and Hector, and called his sisters Teddi and Liz "My beautiful big sister" as if it were their names. He adored all his nephews and nieces with all his heart, and because he was closer to them in age, he was able to be their big-brother protector and loving best friend. He was a big hearted, sentimental, beautiful person inside and out, and he took great pride and care in helping to raise his great-nephew Kobe, who was "his little man" and his niece and "little princess" Malaysia.
His bright eyes, infectious grin, and natural sense of humor brought smiles and laughter to everyone around him. He is now our Guardian Angel and Heaven's helper who will be forever with us in our minds and in our hearts. "Eric James Everett, we love you always!"
