Eunice Hausauer, 79, Max, died on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Sanford Hospital in Bismarck. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 am at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Max. Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan at 2:00 pm.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 6 at Thompson Funeral Home in Garrison.

Eunice was born July 8, 1936 in Turtle Lake, ND to Otto and Louise (Heinle) Laib of Mercer, ND. She was raised and educated in Mercer, graduating from Mercer High School in 1954. She furthered her education, graduating from Minot State University in 1967 with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She retired from teaching in 1993 after 38 years.

Eunice married Richard Hausauer on June 23, 1961 at the Zion Lutheran Church south of Mercer, ND. She enjoyed reading, vacationing, and spending time with family and friends.

Eunice is survived by her husband of 54 years, Richard, Max; one brother, Calvin Laib, Mercer, ND; one sister, Frances (Lloyd) Rittenbach, Bismarck; two brothers-in-law, Donnie (Verna) Hausauer and Delmar Reiser, McClusky, ND; one sister-in-law, Roberta Hausauer, Kingston, RI, and many nieces and nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
