George Schlichting, 87, of Garrison, passed away on April 14, 2025.

George was born in Garrison, ND, on July 14, 1937, to John and Edith Schlichting. He attended school in Garrison.

George farmed and ranched in the Garrison area from his early teen years with his brother Richard Schlichting, then later on in life with his sons Dean and Glenn. Those were his hobbies. He liked working on anything old, and didn't like new things. He was a member of the St. Nicholas Church, Garrison, ND.

George is survived by his wife, Bernice; sons, Dean (Donna), Glenn (Ann), all of Garrison; grandchildren, Jill (Riley) Mautz, of Garrison, Steely, of Garrison, Preston Schneider, of Minot; brother, Richard (Betty) Schlichting, of Garrison; Carrie Schlichting, of AZ; and many nieces and nephews.

George is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Laverne (Adam) Miller; brothers, Norbert (Ardella) Schlichting, John Schlichting; brothers-in-law, Floyd (Lorraine) Evenson, Donald (Gladys) Evenson.
