Georgianna "Georgie" Robinson, 98, of Garrison, ND, formerly of Hankinson, ND, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Garrison Memorial Hospital's nursing facility.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the Edgewood Vista chapel located at 3124 Colorado Lane, Bismarck. A private burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Hankinson.

Georgianna Lucy Roth was born Jan 20, 1917 to Peter and Magdalena (Petryk) Roth in Hankinson, ND. Georgie had 7 sisters and 4 brothers. Georgie was fourth from the youngest. She grew up and attended school in Hankinson, graduating from St. Francis Academy in 1934. After graduation she worked as a waitress at a café in Hankinson and cleaned houses in Wahpeton.

On November 3, 1936, she married George "Bud" Robinson in Hankinson. They had two children, Jack and Patricia. They raised their family in Hankinson where they lived all their lives. They were married just short of 62 years when George passed away on September 27th, 1998.

In November 2003, Georgie entered St. Gerard's Community Nursing Home in Hankinson due to complications from a fall at home. In August 2009, she transferred to the nursing facility at Garrison Memorial Hospital in Garrison in order to be closer to family.

Georgie's Catholic faith was very important to her. She was a lifelong member of St.Philip's Catholic Church and a member of St.Philip's Ladies Guild. Georgie was a quiet woman who in her words "lived a quiet life". Family was the most important thing in her life. She loved spending time with her family and was always happy when they came to visit. She could usually be found with a book in her hand. Her favorite type of book was a word search puzzle book that kept her busy for hours. Georgie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed by all of her family.

Georgianna is survived by her daughter, Pat Medenwald, Bismarck, ND; two grandchildren: Julie (Duane) Hummel, Garrison, and Steve Medenwald, Bismarck; three great grandchildren: Bryce (Danielle) Hummel, Garrison, Jessica Hummel, and Ched Medenwald, Bismarck and one great-great grandson: Jaxson Hummel, Garrison; two sisters: Dorothy McDonald, Bremerton, WA and Josephine Voeltz, Hacienda Heights, CA and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George, her son Jack, four brothers and five sisters; John, Peter, Wendell, and Raymond Roth, Elizabeth Salzwedel, Catherine Bommersbach, Margaret Beffort, Ann Mitzel, and Lena Wirtz and her son-in-law Charles Medenwald.
