Helen Jacobson, 98, of Max, ND died Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at the Benedictine Living Center in Garrison. Funeral services will be held on Sat., Nov. 22nd at 11:00 am at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Max. Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery south of Max.

Visitation will be held on Friday from Noon to 4 at Thompson Funeral Home in Garrison.

Helen Irene was born Aug. 27, 1916 to Christ and Louise (Dahl) Olson near Max. She married Oscar Jacobson March 20, 1937. She lived most of her married life in Rosemont Township, McLean County, on a farm. She was an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid, LCR, and also taught Sunday School. She was also clerk of Rosemont Township for many years. Helen enjoyed compiling her family history books, visitors, and sharing her baking and cooking with relatives and friends.

Helen is survived by her children, Lois Malling, Harold (Pat) Jacobson, Grace (Roger) Westman. Grandchildren, Jody Malling, Dawn Lindblom, Robin (Randy) Danko, Paul (Jackie) Jacobson, Stacy (Vance) Tomlinson, Travis (Beth) Jacobson, Brent (Cindy) Jacobson, Kristine (Chad) Talbott,, Kelwayne (Dawn) Westman, Brittany Westman (Tyson), and Josiah Westman (Marlee), and several foster grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Olson and Chris (Lois) Olson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son-in-law, Robert Malling, and great-grandson, Jason Malling, brothers, Leonard, Donald, and Marvin Olson, and sisters, Mabel Helgeson, Gladys Harrison, and Alice Olson.
