Howard William Trueblood, son of William and Elvira (Rodahl) was born on July 25, 1937 on the family farm south of Ryder. He attended rural schools and later graduated from Garrison High School in 1955.
Howard married Jean Kolden in 1957. They have 2 children, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. They had a wonderful marriage for 62 years.
Howard was a farmer, mechanic, and a collector. He was a genuinely good and honest man. He loved family and family gatherings. He was a man of few words but was very kind and caring. His wife, Jean, was gifted with bouquets of wild flowers many times during his farming years. One thing that some people may not know about Howard was that he loved Rocks! Rocks! Rocks! He thoroughly enjoyed collecting and cutting rocks and was always on the lookout for that "genuine meteorite".
Howard was a beloved husband, dad, grandpa, and great grandpa. He will be missed greatly by his family, but they will be forever grateful that God blessed them with Howard for so many wonderful years.
Howard is survived by his wife, Jean, Garrison; daughter, Kim (Wayne) Windhorst, Stanton; son, Kelly (Pam) Trueblood; Underwood; grandchildren, Lisa (John) Schwab, Brad and Michael Trueblood, Aaron, Katie, and Brandon Windhorst; great grandchildren, Monica, Dominic, and Natalie Schwab; brother, Loren Trueblood, Garrison; and sisters-in-law, Patsy Trueblood, Minot, Rita (Ronald) Krebsbach, Garrison.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Robert and Myron Trueblood, sister, Celeste Berger,sisters-in-law, Kathy Trueblood and Elsie Trueblood, and brother-in-law, Tony Berger.
