After graduation she worked at American State Bank in Minot until she married. Jeanette was raised with 5 other siblings; Dimples (Roland) Krueger, Bob (Janet) Pettys, Russell (Bonnie) Pettys, Patty (Archie) Riley, Margaret (Delmar) Fliginger.

Jeanette married Raymond Wenger on May 16, 1948 at Peace Lutheran Church in Max ND. Ray was manager of Benedict Farmers Elevator for 32 years. They retired and moved to Max in 1981 and Ray passed away in 1999. Jeanette and Ray had three children Coral (LuWayne) Polsfut, Curtis (Dorcas) Wenger, DeVerne (Milo) Miles. They enjoyed their 6 grandchildren and many great grand children.

Jeanette's hands were rarely idle. She loved to sew, making clothes for her children, grandchildren, and the neighbor's children as well. She plays the piano and enjoyed embroidery work and crocheting. Jeanette tended to a garden and her flowers every summer and canned just about everything. She is famous for her pickles and sauerkraut.

Jeanette loved to bake and always had goodies on hand. No matter the weather, Jeanette would take her long daily walks. She loved to dance and was a proud member of the Northwest Polkateers.
Jeanette was an active member of her church in Benedict, Max, Minot and Garrison. With a true servant's heart, she served her church, her family and her friends with compassion and kindness.
