John Nottom, 93, Garrison, died Saturday, October 8, 2016 in a Garrison nursing facility. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 10:30 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garrison with Pastor Dick Hendrickson officiating. Interment will be held in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, rural Garrison. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday at Thompson Funeral Home, Garrison and will continue one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.

John was born November 14, 1922 in Garrison the son of Jake and Adelia (Kempf) Nottom. He was raised and educated near Garrison. He farmed on the family farm until retiring, but continued to live on the farm.

He is survived by a brother, Walter of Garrison; two sisters, Regina Pacyga of Littleton, CO and Helen Eslinger of Garrison and several nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Rudy, Fred, Jake, Emil and an infant brother and one sister Bertha.
