June Rose was born June 14, 1922 to Joseph and Bonnie (Johnson) Bentley and was raised and educated southwest of Douglas. She married Randal Roberts on December 1, 1946. They made their home in Douglas where they farmed small grains and raised their children, Ramona, Zachary, Norman, and Robin. Randal died on January 25, 1975. June continued to live in Douglas for many years before moving to the Benedictine Living Center in Garrison.
June had a tremendous love for her family. She loved when her entire family was able to get together, especially at Christmas time. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her absolute priority, taking care of them whenever she possibly could. In her spare time she enjoyed mowing the lawn and watching after her animals. Her cats were spoiled and each had a unique name, some not necessarily politically correct! She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Douglas where she was very active with the ladies aid and was also a member of the Douglas Nifty Fifties.
June is survived by her children, Ramona (Lawrence) Talbott, Douglas, ND, Zack (Marion) Roberts, Garrison, ND, Norman Roberts, Grand Forks, ND, and Robin (Joan) Roberts, Garrison, ND; grandchildren, Tonya (Mike) Balaban, Garrison, ND, Michelle Roberts, Belleville, IL, Chad (Kristine) Talbott, Max, ND, Rachel (Eric) Ross, Mooresville, NC, Laura Gray, Max, ND, Nicole Roberts (Daniel Wagner), Fargo, ND, Natalie Paulson, Van Couver, WA, Angela (John) Devine, Italy, Heidi Roberts, Minot, ND, and Heath Roberts, Douglas, ND; 18 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Randal, granddaughter, Traci Talbott, and sister, Clara Mae Petterson.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the Camp of the Cross in Garrison or the Benedictine Living Center in Garrison.
