Obituary

Ken Zook, 50, Garrison, died on Friday, November 20, 2020 at Trinity Hospital in Minot.  A time to remember Ken will be held at a later date.

Ken was born February 2, 1970 in Garrison, ND to Lloyd and Shirley (Rime) Zook.  He was raised and educated in Garrison, graduating from Garrison High School in 1988.  He attended Bismarck State College and graduated with a degree in Auto Body Technician.  Ken had an extremely special talent for turning any vehicle that looked "rough" into something that turned everyone's head.   Following college he  went to work for Fischer's Auto Body in Garrison where he worked for 15 years.  He then went to work for Ken's Auto Body in Garrison where he finished out his career due to health issues.

Because of his health, Ken developed a tremendous and unique craft for gardening, cooking and baking.  If there was a new way, different way, or science behind how to grow something, Ken was gonna try it.  He was especially creative with his herbs and odd vegetables that he tried to grow.

Ken was a simple, kind, and yet brutally honest man.  He had a wonderful wit and loved to joke.  He was extremely outgoing and would visit with anyone that wanted to talk.  He loved to listen to music and whoever he was with simply had to listen with him.  Ken had a special bond with his nieces and nephew whom he held especially close to his heart.  As much as they will miss him, he will never be forgotten.

Ken is survived by his sister, Kim Seidler, Coleharbor, Kory (Kerry Seidler) Zook, Garrison; nieces, Cassidy and Kaitlyn Zook, nephew, Tyler Zook, all of Garrison; and many special, special friends that are too numerous to mention and you know who you are, and his special girlfriend, dog CeCe.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Shirley Zook.

And Ken would want all of you to remember, "Don't drink ice water, it gives you gas!"
