Kristi Jo (Sammons) Baker, 59, of Coleharbor, ND exhaled earth and inhaled heaven on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at her home. She has gone to join her daughter Melissa. Memorial services will be held on Monday, April 3, at 11:00 am at Augustana Lutheran Church in Underwood.

Kristi was born May 11, 1957 to Les and LillyAnn (Harington)Sammons in LuVerne, MN. She attended school in LuVerne, graduating in 1975. She lived in Fairmont, MN, Sioux Falls, SD, and Yuma, AZ while raising two beautiful children and working many different jobs.

In 1992, she met and married Pete Baker, moving her family to ND where they made their home. Kristi loved growing flowers, mowing, riding motorcycle, and being outside in the short ND summers.

In 2007, they started raising their twin grandsons. Raising her grandsons, watching them grow and flourish in life, made her beam with pride attending every baseball, track, football and basketball game and band concert.

They loved to camp and spend family time together. Her greatest joy was her family and taking care of them. Being mom and "meema" was her life. Everything she did was out of love, compassion and care for her family and friends.

Kristi is survived by her husband, Pete Baker of Coleharbor, ND, son Damian Christenson (Shanna) of Underwood, ND, grandchildren, Parker and Preston Christenson of Coleharbor, ND, Gabe and Gavin (Brittany) Christenson of Bismarck, ND, mother LillyAnn Sammons of LuVerne, MN, brother, Mike (Ronda) Sammons of Round Lake, MN, sister, Michelle Schreier of Currie, MN and many nieces and nephews; along with her pets, Gus and Harley.

Kristi was preceded in death by her daughter Melissa, father, Les Sammons, and brother, David Sammons.
