Obituary

Kyle Kerwin Diebler, born on December 16, 1958, in Garrison, ND, passed away on January 10, 2025, in Fort Collins, CO. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Garrison City Cemetery in Garrison, ND followed by a reception will be held at The Cubby Hole, from 3 pm to 8 pm. A loving son, faithful brother, trusted friend, dedicated academic, and professional, Kyle's life journey was marked by key accomplishments and impactful contributions.

He attended Garrison High School before pursuing higher education at Minnesota State University Moorhead, where he earned a BS in Management. Furthering his passion for business, Kyle obtained a master's degree in management from Colorado State University. His academic journey led him to serve as a professor's assistant in the Business department at what was known as Southern Colorado College in Pueblo. The college evolved into the University of Southern Colorado and later became Colorado State University-Pueblo. Upon leaving academic life in the early 1990's, Kyle relocated to the Phoenix metropolitan area, marking a new chapter in his professional career.

In Phoenix, Kyle thrived as an operations Manager in the nutritional and purchasing departments with the Fitness Institute, Proline, and Olympian Labs. His dedication to the emerging field of bodybuilding and broadcasting laid the foundations for future industry developments. If that wasn't enough, Kyle's passion for music and culture shone through in his leadership as President of the Phoenix Blues Society, where he tirelessly promoted and celebrated the blues community.

Kyle Deibler began volunteering for The Blues Foundation during the International Blues Challenge (IBC) in 2003 and quickly became the stage manager at one of the most popular venues on Beale Street, the Rum Boogie Café. Kyle has been the first person IBC acts see upon their arrival on Beale Street and has been the stage manager for the finals at the Orpheum since 2007. He returned each year to Memphis in May to assist with the Blues Music Awards. While living in Phoenix, Kyle began volunteering for the Phoenix Blues Society in 2004, then became a board member and later president. Upon moving to Fort Collins in 2011, Kyle wasted little time becoming active with the Colorado Blues Society, where his leadership and support were greatly appreciated. Kyle has dedicated decades to producing and supporting multiple events and organizations. Recently, he served as the Chairman of the Board of the Women in the Blues.

Kyle's legacy is characterized by his commitment to education, innovation in the fitness industry, and his love for music. His memory will be cherished by family, friends, colleagues, and the many lives he touched through his diverse interests and endeavors.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Sheila LaNae Deibler; parents, Frank and Sharon Deibler, and grandparents, Frank Sr. and Lola Deibler, Engvald and Beryl Stensland and Ernest and Vivian Nelson.
