Lanny Bahr, 80, Garrison, died on Monday, March 25, 2019 at the Garrison Memorial Hospital. Per Lanny's request, private graveside services will be held at a later date.
Lanny was born January 20, 1939 in Goodrich, ND to Edgar and Ruth (Brodehl) Bahr. He was raised and educated in Goodrich, graduating from Goodrich High School in 1957.
Lanny married Dianna Rohrach in September of 1965 in Aberdeen, SD. He farmed near Wing, ND from 1963 to 1974. He then owned and operated appliance repair stores in Steele, ND (1974-1983), and Garrison, ND from 1983-1999 when he had to retire due to health problems. Lanny had also served in the US Army Reserves for 10 years.
Lanny is survived by his wife, Dianna, Garrison; son, Keith (Carmen) Bahr, Nebraska City, Neb; daughters, Gail (Doug) Schell, Hazen, ND, Kristal (Jeremy) Siembida, Minot, ND; grandsons, Kevin Bahr, Neb, Glen and Isaac Siembida, Minot, ND, granddaughters, Karissa Bahr, Iowa, Keianna Bahr, Neb, Callie Schell, Hazen, ND; sister, Shirley Christian, CA; brother-in-law, Ronnie (Debbie) Rohrbach; sisters-in-law, Shirley (Terry) Root, OR, and Linda Rohrbach, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers-in-law, Don Christian, and Ricky, Harvey, and Curtis Rohrbach.
