Lawrence Galusha, 92, Garrison, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2020 at the Benedictine Living Center in Garrison.  Private family services will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Thompson Funeral Home in Garrison.

A public viewing will be held from Noon to 1 pm on Tuesday at Thompson Funeral Home in Garrison.

Lawrence, the son of Roy and Olive (Zorn) Galusha, was born in Minot, ND on October 15, 1928.  He was raised in the Makoti area.

On October 16, 1949, he married Ethel Dahl in Keene Lutheran Church in Keene, ND.  They moved to the Minot and Burlington area.

Lawrence worked various jobs until he went to work at Minot Sand and Gravel, where he worked for many years.  Later he worked for Gravel Products and then Bechtold Paving.

When Lawrence retired, they moved to Garrison.  Here he helped anyone who needed help and was often seen on his riding lawn mower or out blowing snow.

Lawrence is survived by his son, Byron (JoElla) Galusha; daughter, Myra Peterson; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brothers, Charles (Vi) Galusha, Russell (Karen) Galusha; sister, Viona Nickle; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ethel, parents, brother, Richard, sister, Olive, infant brother, Donald, infant sisters Shirley and Lyla, son-in-law, Dale Peterson, and brother-in-law, Mel Nickle.
