Leonard Ross, 98, of Garrison, ND, passed away July 25, 2023, at the Benedictine Living Center, Garrison.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Peace Lutheran Church in Garrison. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Jamestown, ND at 3 PM.

There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign a register on Friday from 3 to 6 at Thompson Funeral Home in Garrison.

Leonard was born April 11, 1925, in rural Merricourt, ND, in Dickey County. Leonard's parents were Karl and Mathilda (Steltzer) Ross.

Leonard married Lenora Presler on March 14, 1948, at Zion Lutheran Church in Edgeley, ND. From this marriage two sons were born, Wayne and Lonnie.

Leonard and Lenora lived most of their adult lives in Garrison and Mandan, ND. They returned to Garrison upon retirement.

Leonard made a living as a farmer, construction worker, construction worker, carpenter, and in maintenance for the City of Garrison, the Nursing home, and the Mandan Community Center.

Leonard is survived by his son, Lonnie (Jackie) Ross, Sebring, FL and Garrison, ND; grandchildren, Cori, Chris, Cody and Ryan; great-grandchildren; brother, Wilbert (Betty) Ross, Edgeley, ND; sister-in-law, Dottie Ross, Eden Prairie, MN.

Leonard was preceded in death by his wife, Lenora; parents; son, Wayne; brothers, Carl Ross and Kenneth Ross.
