Obituary

Lorra Andrews, 63, Garrison, died on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at a Bismarck hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 pm at the First Congregational Church in Garrison. Burial will be at the Garrison City Cemetery.

Lorra Lee (Fetzer) Andrews was born April 15, 1950. She was the first of six daughters to LeeRoy and Violet (Hintz) Fetzer. She graduated from Garrison High School in 1968 and went on to become a beautician. On April 15, 1977 she married Harlan Ray Andrews. After they were married they made their home in rural Garrison ND. Their son Jeremy Ray Andrews was born September 11, 1977. There were no greater joys in her life than her family.

Lorra was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Garrison. Early on she was very involved in the church with the quilting circle and other activities. Lorra was always there with open arms and the ability to hum to any child anytime. She loved cooking, quilting, crafts, and embroidery. She loved to garden and can the harvest with her mom and her sisters. There were many family activities and gatherings she enjoyed. She was a great care giver for both her Mom and Dad. For many years, Lorra fought hard with health issues. After the hard fight, angels took her home.

Lorra is survived by her son, Jeremy (Andrea Dawson) Andrews Garrison, ND; grandsons, Erik and Conner Andrews; sisters, Vickie Fetzer (Randy Wahl) Lisbon, ND and Shelli Ekstrom (Paul Schulte) Minot, ND; three step daughters, Debbie (John) Walker, Minot ND, Lynnette (Andy) Azure, Minot ND, and Nancy (Will) Cabaqua, Albuquerque, NM, numerous step-grand children and extra special nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Lorra was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan Ray Andrews, her parents, LeeRoy and Violet Fetzer, three sisters, Sharon Fetzer, Mavis Fetzer, Dorothy (Fetzer) Schmidt, and two brothers-in-law, Victor Schmidt and Herb Ekstrom.
