Marcia Joy Goodwin was born March 21, 1943 at Trinity Hospital in Minot, ND to Ted and Christy (Smith) Zieman. She grew up on her parent's farm near Makoti, ND and graduated from Makoti High School. She then attended St. Andrew's School of Nursing in Bottineau, ND and became a Registered Nurse. Marcia truly enjoyed her time in nursing school and remained lifelong friends with her classmates. Marcia's defining characteristics were compassion for anyone in need, excellent memory and nursing skills and a strong will.

Marcia is survived by her brothers, Robert (Shirley) Zieman, Plaza, ND, Jim (Doris Ann) Zieman, Makoti, ND; sister-in-law, Shirley Zieman, Lacey, WA; sisters, Marvel Petrick, Joan Zahnow, both of Minot, ND, Phyllis (Walt) Skrainy, Hampshire, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Doug Goodwin, brothers and sisters-in-law, Floyd (Eileen) Zieman, Dale (Delores) Zieman, brother, Lyle Zieman, and brothers-in-law, Sanford Petrick and Cecil Zahnow.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the caring staff at the Garrison Memorial Hospital Nursing Facility and all who showed compassion to Marcia during her last years and to Garrison State Bank and Trust staff for the kind and professional help to Marcia's family.
