Marvin Sayler, 85, Garrison, died on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at a Garrison hospital. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 1 at 12:00 pm (Noon) at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in rural Mandan.

Marvin was born August 4, 1928 to August and Lillie Sayler in rural Underwood, ND, where he was raised and educated. On October 25, 1953 he married Phyllis Hintz of Garrison. They were blessed with three children.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Phyllis, Garrison, daughter, Debra (Dennis) Schumaier, Garrison; sons Roger (Mary) Sayler, Fargo, and Darin (Karen) Sayler, Bismarck; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren; sister, Irene Grosz, Lillian Sayler, and Marcia Walker; brothers, Milton, Denver, and August Sayler Jr..

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jon Schumaier, 3 brothers, 1 sister, and his parents.
