Maurice E. Knudtson, 76, Douglas died Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Garrison hospital. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 13th, 2016 at 11:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Douglas.

Maurice was born October 25, 1939 on a farm near Makoti, ND to Maurice and Anna (Tomko) Knudtson. He was raised south of Plaza and attended Wright Country School. He married Florene Fjeld on May 1, 1958 in Douglas, ND. They lived in Portland, OR, Spokane, WA and Loveland, CO, before making Douglas their permanent home.

Maurice worked as a cement finisher and mechanic for several different companies including Miller Concrete, Allied Contractors, Carfield Construction, and Ross Island Sand and Gravel. He retired in 2008 due to health complications.

Maurice is survived by his wife, Florene, Douglas; daughter, Kathy Knudtson, Minot, ND; grandchildren, Lenyce May, and Laramie and Latasha Knudtson; great grandchildren, Kassandra, Kayla, Ian, Aryanna, Lindsey, Mason, Anthony, Elisha, and Jordan; great great grandchildren, Justice and Elliot; brother, Larry Knudston, Fredrick, MD; sisters, Phyllis Kastner, Garrison, ND, Darlene Howard, Loveland, CO, Marilyn Lembke, Washington, Bernice Sprenger, Roseglen, ND, and Shirley Fischer, Spokane, WA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Peggy Lynn, brothers, Darryl and Archie Knudtson, and a sister, Marcilyn Garnas
