Melanie Ann Krueger, 46, New Town, died Friday at her home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at the Ralph Wells Jr. Memorial Complex in White Shield.

Melanie Ann was born May 28, 1969 in Garrison, ND to the late Helmuth Puddin Krueger Jr. and Donna Smith. She passed away on May 13, 2016 in her New Town home. She belonged to the Three Clan.

While attending White Shield High, Melanie met Bernard White and together in 1986 they brought Ashly June White into the world. In 1993, Melanie moved to New Town with Todd Price to work at the 4 Bears Casino as a Black Jack dealer/Pit boss. Covey J Price and Shelton Lane Price came of their union. While residing in New Town, she obtained her GED and attended FBCC. Her youngest, Kaitlyn Ann Mossett, was born in June of 2004. Melanie's children were her life and she always put them first. When she wasn't working, she enjoyed having them all together for a family dinner and a movie. She would do anything for them, especially her baby Kaitlyn Ann.

Melanie had many hobbies such as hunting, birdwatching, fishing, listening to blaring music, singing her heart out and dancing. Her dogs were her guardians and she loved them as much as they loved her. Melanie enjoyed family gatherings and reminiscing on the old days at the farm. She always spoke about all the animals they had, calling it "the zoo." In the last few years of her life she had become even more involved with the Kingdom Hall. Melanie always looked forward to attending her meetings every Wednesday with her daughter Kaitlyn and mother Donna. She made many friends within their community that meant very much to her.

Melanie is preceded in death by her father, Helmuth Puddin Krueger Jr., beloved daughter, Ashly June White, her paternal grandparents Clara and Helmuth Fritz Krueger Sr., and maternal grandparents Ruth Packineau and Jefferson Smith.

She is survived by her remaining beloved children Covey J Price (Hope), Shelton Lane Price, and Kaitlyn Ann Mossett. As well as her mother, Donna Dixie Howling Wolf, step-father Rodney Howling Wolf, brother David Krueger (Cherryl), sisters Shelley Krueger, Terri Metz (Steve), and Leslie White (Robert). Her nieces Melissa Yellow Bird, Jessica Johnson, Stephanie Foxx, Nephews Justin Grinnell (Savannah), Jeremy Grinnell, Trevor Metz, Robert Jr., Phoenix, and James White.
