Mike was born May 14, 1957 to Roger and Josephine (Pratt) Shell in Garrison, ND. He attended elementary school in Riverton, OR and received his high school education in White Shield. He served in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1977. He then traveled to Portland, OR and Browning, MT working as a laborer on many ranches which he enjoyed very much. He later returned to White Shield.
Mike's hobbies included riding horses, picnics, and just genuinely enjoying life.
Many of Mike's family didn't know him well, but what they did know is that he was a kind, good hearted person. He loved to spend time with his family and friends and he will be dearly missed by them all.
Mike is survived by his three sons, Mike, James, and Cleatus Shell (Lenora White Eagle) ; one brother, Roy Shell; two sisters, Bernadine and Roseann; grandson, James John Lewis Malling of Devils Lake; and several more grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Marybell , Doris, Chris and infant twin sisters; and his twin brother, Roger.
