Raymond Kostenko, 73, Max, ND died on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Trinity Nursing Home in Minot. Private family services will be held.
Raymond was born November 25, 1938, in Minot, ND to Mike and Clara (Olsen) Kostenko. He was raised and educated in Max, ND, graduating from Max High School in 1957. Following graduation he worked various construction jobs and in 1966 purchased the family farm and ranch. He continued to work construction while he ranched and farmed. Numerous homes and businesses in the Max area were taped by Raymond. He loved raising cattle and living and working in God's country.
Raymond married Roselle Mclean in Bottineau, ND in 1961. They had four children: Rhonda, Ronald, Renee, and Reid. He was a wonderful husband and father and enjoyed sharing stories with his grandchildren. Raymond volunteered for many years on the Economy Township Board. He also was an avid fisherman and hunter, and was an excellent shot.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Roselle, Max; children, Ronald (Peggy), Minot, Renee (Jon) Kostenko-Hrichena, Lake City, Fl, Reid, Minot; sister, Raome (Jim) Johnson, Mandan; grandchildren, Elizabeth Berg, Jordan Hrichena, Remington Kostenko, Rebecca Kostenko, Rayna Hrichena, Seth Kostenko, Ryan Kostenko, and Madyson Kostenko.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Rhonda, grandson, Matthew Berg, brothers, Richard, Ralph, Russell, and Ronald, and sister, Ranelle.
