Richard Hausauer, 91, of McClusky, formerly Max, passed away on December 8, 2024, in Turtle Lake, ND.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Max, ND. Burial will be held at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND at 3:00 PM.

Richard was born to Emil and Margaret (Waltz) Hausauer in McClusky, North Dakota on May 27, 1933. He attended McClusky Schools. Richard joined the U.S. Navy in 1953 and was discharged in 1957 as a Third-Class Fire Control Technician. He became a heavy equipment operator in 1959 and made that his career until retiring in 1995.

Richard married the love of his life Eunice Laib on June 23, 1961. He loved to fish and also fly after obtaining his private pilots license in 1969. He was a member of the Garrison Civil Air Patrol, and served on the church council at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Max.

Richard is survived by his brother, Donald, McClusky; and many nieces and nephews.

Richard is preceded in death by his wife, Eunice; parents; sisters, Jeannette Hausauer, Carol Reiser; brothers, Raymond, Marvin, Herbert, Ronald, and Wayne.
