November 6, 1960 – April 19, 2019
Richard Lee Robinson, 58, Fairfield, CA, died on Friday, April 19, 2019 at his home in Fairfield. Funeral services will R held on Saturday at 11:00 am at the Ralph Wells Jr. Memorial Complex in White Shield. Wake services will be held on Friday beginning at 5:00 pm at the complex. Burial will be at the Congregational Cemetery in White Shield.
Richard was born to Pearl Ross and Donald Robinson (Joplin, MO) on November 4, 1960 at Travis Airforce Base in Fairfield, CA.
Richard was a jack of all trades and he had many skills, one of which was scuba diving. Everyone knew Richard in Fairfield, CA as he had many friends. Richard was always proud of his heritage as a member of the Three Affiliated Tribes. Over the years, he learned about the Sundance ways and befriended Dennis Banks. He had a love for the water and was a certified scuba diver at the age of 17. His love for animals was apparent to all who knew him.
Although Richard did not have biological children, he was a father figure to Stina Rubio, daughter of his dear friend, Tina Deveraux.
He will be greatly missed ball all who loved him.
Richard was preceded in death by his father, Donald Robinson, paternal grandparents, maternal grandparents, Mr. Phillip and Martina (Eagle) Ross, Uncles: Charles J. Ross, Richard D. Ross, and Aunts: Phyllis Kyllo and Mary Alice (Ross) Wells.
Richard is survived by his mother, Pear Ross, New Town, ND; Rebecca Cronis, New Town, ND Andrew Cronis, Fairfield, CA, and David Robinson; Uncle: Phillip Ross Jr., White Shield, Aunts: Joan Mathews, Four Bears, ND, Beverly White Bear, White Shield, ND, Helen Mahsetky, Bakerfield, ND, and many cousins, nieces and nephews on the Fort Berthold Reservation.
The family would like to thank all tribal dignitaries of the Three Affiliated Tribes, Elbowoods Memorial Health Center, Frank Reed and family, and all those who have helped during our time of need.
