Veronica Tekala Meade, 17, Marana, AZ, formerly of White Shield, died Wedensday, Sept. 7, suddenly, at her home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at the Ralph Wells Memorial Complex in White Shield. Burial will be at the Eagle Family Cemetery in rural White Shield.
Veronica Tekala Meade was born February 25, 1994 in Grand Forks, ND to Kathy Eagle and the late Keith Meade. She attended elementary at Cradleboard Elementary in Whiteriver, AZ and White Shield Elementary in White Shield, ND. She was a senior at Marana High School in Marana, AZ.
Veronica enjoyed texting, playing basketball, dancing, taking pictures and making her friends and family laugh. She touched everyone's lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Veronica is survived by her parents, Stoney Williams and Kathyrn Eagle, Marana, AZ; maternal grandparents, June and Thomas Eagle, White Shield, ND paternal grandmother, Edna Meade, Whiteriver, AZ, grandparents, Justin and Evangeline (Declay) Williams; Traditional godparents, Joe and Tonita Standing; Catholic godparents, Tom and Yasuyo Weiser; sisters, Ashley Meade, ND, Kiercey Williams, Show Low, AZ, Lawren Williams, Show Low, AZ, Kimberly Meade, Whiteriver, AZ; brothers, Tristen Williams, Marana, AZ, Isiah Williams, Mesa, AZ, Keshawn Meade, Keith Meade Jr. and Desmond Wool, all of Whiteriver, AZ, niece and nephews, Alayna and Curtis Villa, ND, Eli Kai Lama, Show Low, AZ; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.
She was preceded in death by her father, Keith Meade, and paternal grandfather, Bernard Meade.
