Junior was born October 27, 1929 to Walter and Ruth (Andersgord) Klindworth in Hamberg, ND. He was confirmed and attended elementary school in Hamberg and attended Fessenden High School. Following high school he traveled around the country building grain elevators with his father and brother Paul.

He was inducted into the US Army in 1951 and served 18 months ("behind the lines" as Junior always said) in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged from the Army Reserves as a Staff Sergeant (E6) in 1959. He was a Legionnaire for over 64 years and was extremely proud of his service to this country. He received a letter of appreciation from the South Korean President for his service. Upon his discharge from the service, he moved to Garrison and worked for his uncles, Walt and Paul Andersgord. Junior met his love Marsha Kolden, in the fall of 1957 and they were married on August 17th, 1958.

Junior was well known by many in Garrison as he was a friendly face at several gas stations throughout the years. Many recall their encounters with Junior with fondness, especially his infectious famous laugh. His quick wit kept friends and family on their toes. He loved to walk when the weather cooperated, and he never missed a chance to decorate his yard for a holiday, his favorite being Halloween. Garrison children, and some adults, always knew there was candy and sites to see when they stopped at his home trick-or-treating.

Junior is survived by his wife of 58 years Marsha (Kolden) Klindworth; son W. Allan (Bonnie) Klindworth; son Shawn (Maria) Klindworth; daughter Heidi (Jason) Ermer; sister Pearl (Charles) Evenwoll, sister Esther Indergaard; brother Alfred John (Ardis) Klindworth; 6 grandchildren Heather, Zachary, Alyssa, Alexander, Alaura and Aidan and numerous nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, brothers Lawrence, Paul and Clarence; sisters Marion and Francis.
