Walter Nottom, 91, Garrison, died on Monday, October 22, 2018 at the Garrison Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garrison. Visitation will be held on Friday from 3 to 6 at Thompson Funeral Home in Garrison. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Walt was born April 20, 1927 in Garrison, ND, the son of Jake and Adelia (Kempf) Nottom. Was raised and educated near Garrison and served in the US Army. Following his discharge from the Army, he farmed and ranched on the family farm until his retirement. He continued living on the farm, tinkering away on machinery and raising a few cows just to keep busy.
Walt is survived by his sisters, Regina Pacyga, Littleton, CO and Helen Eslinger, Garrison, ND; and several nieces and nephews.
Walt was preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers, Rudy, Fred, Jake, John, Emil, baby boy Nottom, and one sister, Bertha.
