Warren Iverson, 74, Max, died on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at a Minot care facility. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 22nd, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Max. Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in rural Max.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5 to 7 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Max with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 pm.
Warren was born December 28, 1941 to Chris and Helga (Sundbacken) Iverson in Benedict, ND where he was raised and educated. He married Merlyn Olson on December 22, 1968 in Max, ND. They made their home in Max and raised their two sons, Tristan and Ashley.
Warren worked construction until 1971 when he started his trucking business, which he ran from 1971 to 1987. He then went to work for Mann Enterprises in New Town, where he worked until his retirement in 2015.
Warren's favorite pastime was heading to the coffee shop, where he loved to tell stories and catch up on all the "goings on" in town. In his down time he liked to watch old westerns and was a John Wayne fan.
Warren is survived by his loving wife, Merlyn, Max, ND; sons, Tristan (Bryn) Iverson and Ashley (Rachel) Iverson, all of Minot, grandchildren, Ryan, Alex, Lindsey, Marleigh, Ty, Dillyn and Jacob Iverson, and Regaen Zarr; brothers, Clifton Iverson and Arvid Iverson; sister, Harriet Krenz; special friends, Roger Westman and Bryce Unger; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Elmer, Palmer, and Harlen Iverson, and sisters, Inga Elison, Cora Beskoon-Monson, and Lou Ann Hauf.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Max.
