Obituary

Wilbert (Bill) Benjamin Iglehart, loving husband, father, and grandfather, died December 30, 2015 in Garrison, North Dakota. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 2nd, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Garrison. A rosary will be said on Friday, January 1st, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Garrison. Burial will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at St. Nicholas Catholic Cemetery in Garrison.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 1st, 2016 from 1-7 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Garrison.

Bill was born April 24, 1944, to Wilbert and Eleanor (Retterath) Iglehart in Riverdale, North Dakota. He married Sandra Gienger September 11, 1964. They raised their five children in Garrison, North Dakota.

Bill spent many years in service to the community in which he spent most of his life. He was a member of the Garrison City Council and rural chief of the Garrison Fire Department. Bill and Sandy also contributed to the community through the many businesses they owned, including Standard and Mobil service stations, Bill's Place and Bill's Sports. Bill was an avid hunter and member of the Garrison Sportsmen's Club. He was active in collecting Hides for Habitat at his place of business. Bill always had a dog with him and would sometimes even take his dog for a run on his bicycle. Even toward the end of his battle with cancer, he could be seen riding his recumbent tricycle around town to visit friends and neighbors. His children have fond childhood memories of camping and boating with Bill and Sandy.

Bill is survived by his wife, Sandy, of Garrison, North Dakota; daughters, Kristie Brolin and her husband John of Fairmont, West Virginia, BilleeJo Iglehart of Garrison, North Dakota, Tracey Iglehart of Berkeley, California; sons, Shaun Iglehart and his wife Lori Iglehart of Colstrip, Montana and Joseph Iglehart and his wife Jahmie Iglehart of Fort Collins, Colorado; grandchildren, Nicholas and Angela Brolin, Faith and Jonathen Huston-Iglehart, Payton and Hunter Iglehart, and Wally, David and Emelia Iglehart; siblings Donald Iglehart and MaryJo Blanchard and many nieces and nephews that he loved greatly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert Iglehart, sister Rozanne Ford, and in-laws Johnathan and Viola Gienger.
