Zephyr Will Atchison, naahukosčiripásIt and akicita cistinna (Little Warrior) went to the arms of Jesus
on August 20th 5:25 pm , 2019 at the University of Minnesota Masonic Childrens Hospital in Minneapolis. Little Warrior was born February 20th to Montaque and Christine Atchison, Moorhead, MN at Sanford Hospital Fargo, ND.
Soon after his birth he was transferred to the UMMCH. He was born with many challenges that no baby would ever survive but he did. He was very loved by his family. Although he was very sick he taught the medical world a lot. He showed the world how powerful prayer, love and faith are. He helped nurses accomplish task they have never done before, he taught doctors they can do medical procedures on other critically ill babies with a successful chance. He helped guide a more clear path for other babies to follow so they can survive. He showed everyone who met him what a miracle truly was. He will forever missed by his family and all those who loved him. He had a lasting impact on many lives and hearts.
Zephyr is survived by his parents Christine Yellowbird Atchison and Montaque Danzell Atchison, sister, Phoenix Gilmore and brother Montaque, paternal grandparents Arnita and Nathaniel Motley, Maylene, Alabama and maternal grandparents Delilah and Don Yellow Bird, White Shield, ND. He will be joining
his brother Presley Roman Atchison.
The family would like to give special thanks to the UMMCH NICU nurses, doctors, and each and everyone of the prayer warriors who followed Zephyrs journey.
In lieu of flowers make a gift to the UMMCH Childrens Health Discovery Fund. This fund supports advancing children's health research.
